River City Bank President & CEO Steve Fleming to Address July SCA

Stephen Fleming, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of River City Bank since September 2008 has over 25 years of banking experience. Prior to joining River City he was the founder and served as the President, CEO, and a director of Presidio Bank in San Francisco which grew at the fastest rate of any of the 24 California banks started in 2006, reaching almost $200 million in assets within 2 years. He was also the President & CEO of National Bank of the Redwoods in Santa Rosa, California from late 2003 through its acquisition in early 2005. NBR was sold in 2005 to Westamerica Bank for a California banking record multiple of book value (over 5x).

In each of the above CEO roles, he was responsible for the overall leadership of the Bank, as well as policy setting and long term strategic planning with the guidance of the other members of the board of directors
From December 2001 to April 2003, Mr. Fleming was Executive Vice President and Head of Wholesale Banking for Farmers & Merchants Bank of Central California.

For most of the period from 1980 to 2001, he was employed by Bank of America, in a variety of progressively more senior positions, including serving as Vice President in the Sacramento Regional Commercial Banking Office from 1984 to 1988. From 1989 to 1999, he was assigned to Bank of America’s Europe, Middle East and Africa Division (“EMEA”), based in London, England, where his responsibilities included being SVP and Head of Credit Administration for EMEA, and Managing Director and Head of EMEA’s Debt Capital Raising Division. In the latter assignment he was also on the board of directors of Bank of America International, Ltd. and a member of the EMEA Management Team. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Fleming was Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer of the Global Project Finance Group of Banc of America Securities LLC in San Francisco.

Mr. Fleming received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Davis in 1980, graduating with honors, and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Mr. Fleming completed his Masters in Business Administration, with emphases in finance, accounting and real estate, in 1984, graduating with honors from the University of California at Berkeley.
