It was an evening to remember in the chronicles of SCA lore. A relaxed and grand time was had at the first annual SCA Winter Party, held at the Grand Capitol Plaza Fraternity Ballroom in downtown Sacramento on a brisk Friday evening, January 12, 2007.
SCA President and promoter of all things progressive for the group, Art Coussoulis, was unquestionably pleased with the whole affair.
“I want to thank all of you who have made this event such an overwhelming success,” he stated.
SCA 2006 Scholarship recipient, Maura Hill, was on hand to be recognized for her award.
A fine meal was followed by a great deal of dancing by the many, along with plenty of conversation and frivolity.
Choosing to celebrate after the holidays instead of squeezing in yet another party in the hazy crazy days of the season proved a successful notion. Plans are already being drafted to take it to the next level in 2008.
Photos here will give you an idea of what a fun night it was. But if you missed it, you’ll want to plan ahead to attend next year.
